PARTY TIL YOU PUKE!!
So on Friday I got to see Andrew WK play album 'I Get Wet' in it's entirety. In short it was one of the most amazing, life-affirming party gigs I have ever been too.
It had many highlights, but I would like to share with you just one.
Now avid Sugar paper readers will know how much we love the aesthetic (and taste) of fast food (we're talking burgers, shakes, pizza)as shown in Sugar Paper#5. So imagine my delight when Andrew at one point appeared on stage with this:

Pastel Passion
I love a good pastel colour palette and thanks to Barry M's amazing range of pastel shades I have been rocking pastel nails for the past few weeks,
These aren't my nails, I'm not that neat! Pastels are often reffered to as 'ice cream colours' but here it's the cones that are amazing colours rather than the ice cream itself, shame they don't sell them in my local shop...
The thing that actually sparked my writing of this blog is the below image. I discovered these beautiful pastel scenes in the clips of the 'hand coloured' film ' A trip to the Moon' (Le voyage dans la lune) in the film Hugo which I can highly reccommend!

And of course, I can't write a blog about pastels without mentioning the most visually appealing french treat, the macaron!
Last but not least in the edible pastels department,I've been eating these, with it being Easter weekend'n'all, it would be rude not to, right?!

YIKES!
I LOVED (actually I still love) stationary as a child, my favourite was Yikes! and I used to spend a lot of money on it. Wish it would come back.

ASAP As Possible
So last week on my way to my tap class, I stopped of at Manchester's Night & Day Cafe for a peek at David Bailey's ASAP As Possible exhibition.
It all looks rad. I would urge anyone to get down there and look at David's offerings, plus they painted the walls of Night & Day so it doesn't permanently feel like it's midnight at a jazz cafe there!
David's Paintings/illustrations will be sure to put a smile on your face, and at such a bargainous price (like the B&M of the art world 'this is great, what a reasonable price, I can afford this, I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE) you can take one home and smile all the time!
