So last month saw us make a mix just in time for Valentines, so it was all about crushing hard.
But what happens if your crush doesn't quite work it?
What if it goes horribly wrong? What if you suddenly just think yr crush is rubbish and you don't know what you were thinking? What if yr crush becomes so all consuming it sends you a little crazy? What if you realise you are AWESOME and love being alone? What if one day you wake up and realise you are over your crush, just like Angela Chase?
Well then here is a mix for all those what if's.....

90s mum or hipster?!?!?
This weekend my sister Sy and friend Katie came over for my mum's birthday. We sat watching TV and the selection was poor. We ended up watching 90s gameshow celebrity Squares!
I invented a game 90s mum or hipster!*
* so I have noticed that 90s fashion is in in a BIG way right now, something I sometimes can't handle as the 90s never left my heart. I also know the whole let's make fun of hipsters thing is both negative and a waste of time. My definition of this is someone who thinks they're cooler than you because of how they look, also somebody that spends a lot of money on something that was probably £6 from Clockhouse back in the day!
Anyway it seems Lesley Joseph came out on top as she would be bang on trend right now!
Then yesterday we went to visit my nan who gave us a box full of holiday photos (we spent our summer holidays holidaying with my Nan and Grandad in Filey).
Which gave us lots of laughs playing hipster or 90s mum.
I mean check out this picture of my mum in the 90s, if those trainers were New Balance, she would be so trendy now it would hurt!
My sister and I were too super fashionable.
So much so I thought everyone would want to re-create our 90s looks , and you can......
Also check out this hipster photo shoot!!
Ps here is a bonus hot, that time my sister and I were in a Wes Anderson film **
** JOKES everyone knows there is never more than on POC in a Wes Anderson film at any one time!

The Great Yorkshire Zine Weekender!!
So as we reach mid Februray I remembered that in a months time we will be stalling at not one but TWO zine fairs!
First up on Saturday 15th march is the one in Sheffield! I think it's in the same venue as last year, the one with a slide WOO!
More event info HERE.
Then on Sunday 16th March is the one in Leeds. More info event for that one is HERE.
I am mostly excited about hanging out with my cross Pennine pals YES! Also seeing what other zines people have.
Poor Lass 3 (should) will totally be out and possibly full re-stock on all Sugar Papers!
Best get down the printers then!

I want to be impossibly beautiful and wear stupid outfits!
So I finally got round to watching Kaboom, and as with every Gregg Araki film I watch, the feeling I went away with is 'I want to be impossibly beautiful and wear stupid outfits'.
So I'm writing a post about it.
I first discovered Araki's film in my late teens when I went to stay at my friend's Nick and Paul's flat after a night out. Nick decided what everyone needed at 3am is to watch Nowhere.
I was totally into it and not long after watched Doom Generation.
Some years later I still follow Araki's work. Only now I wish I dressed a little more like I did when I was younger (only way better). Back then even before I saw Nowhere I loved to wear bright colours and my favourite fabric was plastic.
I wore some mad shit that didn't go together and probably looked awful in hindsight, but I thought I looked good.
I still own lots of mad shit but I never get to wear it. I go to work, tap class, youth zone and Asda mostly!
I'm going to start going out more (even though I'm too lazy and prefer to spend money elsewhere). But I love to dance and I got me a whole load of mad shit to wear to pretend I'm in a Gregg Araki film!
One thing's for sure, when the world ends I'll look impossibly beautiful and be wearing a stupid outfit!

who doesn't want an outfit to match their walls! |
Plastic coat, stuff of dreams. Black bob, also stuff of dreams! |
I've always loved a bit (lot) of colour co-ordination. |
Never dressed as a box of tampons, yet! |
