Technically more of an art idol. Andrea is a new discovery for me.
I found out about her from the paper cut exhibition at Manchester art gallery. It turns out she doesn't just cut paper, but paints, illustrates, embroiders, writes and much more.
It's her series of embroidery (like the picture above) of her mother's sayings that won me over (actually most of her work looks fantastic!) and her needlework is why she's a craft idol.
I love to find artist that use traditional craft skills to create art.
