Hayley Godfrey

Today (when I wasn't giving blood or suffering from stupid hayfever!) I managed to catch the Manchester School Of Art degree show. I went down mainly to see the work of the ever lovely Hayley Godfrey (who I have got to know through her volunteering at my work!) who's has completed her degree in embroidery.

Anyway, her final pieces looked great,here's a couple of pictures...

To see more, check out her site here!

Song with a crafty sounding title (well not really, but....)

IT HAS A LOT OF CRAFTY WORDS IN IT! weave, fabric, thimble, needle, thread and more, so yes it counts!

Best Thing EVER!!

As previously stated WE LOVE LEGO (getting excited about the new Lego store opening soon in Manchester Arndale, hope there's make your own mini figures, hours will be wasted!) so when I saw this floating around on the Internet I was all EEEEEEK.

This Lego sewing machine was made by Such Designs, and it is the best thing ever!
I think I have all those pieces in my Lego crate, when I find the time I will unearth it from under the mounds of stuff and make myself one!!

A Royal Jublie!

So the other day I made a statement that if this Jubilee (usually spelt Jubbly but I wanted a play on words yeah!) business was actually called Jublie then I would most definitely have a street party for it!

For those of you who aren't aware a jubbly is when you freeze one of those cheapo cartons you get from the corner shop and freeze.

So here is how to make one;

You will need:-A drinks carton
-A freezer

Take the drinks carton, place it in the freezer, leave it there for a few hours. take out and peel off the top, Voila, a jubbly!

As a side note, if you just want to drink the carton, just remember the cool kids don't use the straws, they turn the carton upside down and bit a hole in the bottom and drink through that!
